Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Expansion
- Develop and execute a growth strategy to establish 20+ clinics and retail outlets across Phnom Penh within five years.
- Identify high-potential locations and oversee end-to-end setup, including licensee partnerships, store design, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive market penetration by leveraging trends in pharmaceutical retail, wellness products, and healthcare services.
2. Operations & Licensee Management
- Ensure seamless operations across all clinics and retail units, maintaining high standards of customer service, inventory management, and profitability.
- Build and nurture relationships with licensees, ensuring alignment with brand standards and business objectives.
- Implement systems and processes to streamline supply chain, procurement, and vendor partnerships.
3. Business Development & Partnerships
- Forge strategic alliances with pharmaceutical suppliers, wellness brands, and healthcare providers to enhance product offerings.
- Negotiate contracts with licensees and suppliers to secure favorable terms and scalable growth.
- Explore new revenue streams, such as telehealth services or loyalty programs, to differentiate the brand.
4. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure full compliance with Cambodian pharmaceutical regulations, licensing requirements, and health standards.
- Oversee quality control for all products and services, maintaining adherence to international best practices.
5. Team Leadership & Culture
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across retail operations, marketing, and licensee management.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.
6. Financial Performance
- Manage P&L for the retail division, optimizing costs and driving revenue growth.
Deliver regular financial reports to the board, with actionable insights for improvement.
Job Requirement
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles within pharmaceutical retail, wellness chains, or multi-unit healthcare businesses (e.g., Watsons, Boots, or similar).
- Proven success in scaling retail operations, preferably in emerging markets.
Skills and Competencies
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, retail trends, and wellness product ecosystems.
- Expertise in licensee/franchise business models and partnership management.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Proficiency in retail management software and data analytics tools.
Languages
- Fluency in English (mandatory); proficiency in Khmer is a strong advantage.
