Job Description
- To teach ICT to pupils between the ages of 14 and 19 years - To teach in as differentiated a way as possible to meet the needs of all pupils - To ensure that appropriate study materials are available in good time and liaise with those responsible for purchase - To ensure that homework, when given, is marked to provide timely feedback to pupils - Mark and evaluate pupils work and reports - To maintain discipline so that the learning objectives of the class and provision of school's health and safety policy are met - To ensure that health and safety is adhered to and risk as assessment carried out and reviewed as necessary - To ensure that good study habits are developed in the class - To work closely with the Learning Support Department in order that the best methods are used for children with a Learning Difference - Liaise with parent on the subject, attending parents meeting as appropriate - To take part in the appraisal of his/her own performance and must be prepared to the appraisal and observation of colleagues where required - To be part of a team carrying responsibility for the Upper School - Attend relevant meeting including weekly Upper school meeting - Will be a key member of ICT Development Mandate carrying responsibility for effective use of ICT throughout the school - Monitor and keep to agreed budgets - Share responsibility for supervision of all pupils during non-class hours within the school day - Attend break-time playground duty - Cover for absence colleagues - Participate in work, study and INSET days - Will also be responsible for classroom work, and if appoint as a class sponsor, pastoral care - To operate within school policies and procedures, including the Code of Conducts, Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety - To ensure as a part of school that reasonable measures are in place to ensure the risks of harm to children's welfare are minimised - To attend teacher's occasional conference, to form a relationship with children outside the lesson time (for instance, at break time), and to deepen understanding of the young child through study - Any others duties reasonably requested by the school |
