Job Description

Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project

 Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation
 keeps daily logs of costs and progress reports to assure that everything stays on budget and sticks to the timeline. 
 Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly
 Support the contractor choose material suppliers and subcontractors based on the bill of quantities.
 Measure and value the work done on site for 
 Check and pay subcontractors based on actual work result
 Liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers
 Manage a QS Team consisting of QS Engineers, Architects working integrated with Technical Team

Job Requirement

 

 Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural, Mathematics, Construction Science or related field
 Chartered Surveyor is preferable
 Having minimum of 3 - 5 years of Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Project Controls or similar capacity in project estimating and cost controlling 
 Understand the implications of HSES (health, safety, environmental and security) regulations
 Excellent English language skills in reading, speaking, writing and listening
 Having excellent computer skills (AutoCAD, Advanced MS Excel, advanced MS Project, MS Access, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
 Working to deadlines and ensuring that all departments of the organization are following the standard procedures with regards to Time, Cost, Scope and Quality
 An investigative, practical and logical mind, methodical way of thinking and attention to details
 Must be honest, committed, responsible, willing to work hard, self-motivated, confident and be able to work as a leader and team member.
